Ski and Snowboard Website Design

This website stood out to me for a number of different reasons. Skiing is one of my main interests and hobbies and therefore will definitely basing one of my briefs next year on this subject. This was my first reason for looking at the website. I then noticed that it has a very collage feel to it, which is what I am looking into for my dissertation, very postmodern. It uses vibrant red to get your attention and add to the 'adrenaline-rush' feel that snowsports induce. It also has subtle images in black and white to accompany this. It is very interactive and easy to get around. It has made me want to re-think a print-based brief I had in mind and made me think that adding a screen-based aspect to it would be a good idea to add to my range. 

Footballers - series of posters

This is a series of posters to show iconic football players. Now, football is not a subject that I am particularly interested in, and for the most-part, I am very subject driven in my work, but these posters really caught my eye. I think it is probably the composition and the use of different textures which I am yet to master in my own work. This really is something that I am interested in as I like the versatility it gives you when designing for print. I also like how it adds age and different finishes, it can completely transform a piece. 

I also like the ornate typography which has been used to accompany the images of the footballers. It adds grace and beauty to the forms giving them a timeless quality and elegance.
